And the gardens are to DIE for, especially this time of the year its literally exploding in colour!

Back to Bridgetown Gardens, and while there wasn't much of a sunset, the beautiful lanterns out on the veranda made for some awesome dusk colour - and a little dance practice!

I loved the rustic bohemian nature of Olivia and Hendy's wedding. it was almost as if we were back in the 70's and it was AWESOME! Totally gorgeous.

Thankyou so much for allowing me to share your day with you both.

This wedding holds a special place in my heart :) Not only was it the wedding of two very special people, but I also got to see my my old stomping ground of Bridgetown AND catch up with two of my my past clients too!!! Great day all round.

Ceremony - St Josephs Manjimup
Flowers - Kellie Nelson from Airport Florist in Belmont. Ph: 9277 2870
Reception - Bridgetown Gardens Reception center
Locations - Manjimup Timber Park, Blackwood River, Sunnyhurst Winery, Bridgetown Gardens

We arrived at Lizzy's sisters farm just outside of Manjimup to find a deserted farmyard! UhOh...are we at the right house???? Was all ok, they were just running a smidge late at the hairdressers. We got to play with the new baby cows anyway so all's good!

Photobucket

Preparations went smooth, the details were FANTASTIC and JB and I have now become 'Dora the Explorer' fans. A few gorgeous portraits and we are off to the Church!

Photobucket

The flowers were made by the incredibly talented Kellie Nelson who was not only the florist, but a bridesmaid AND a past bride of mine too!! She still graces my client room with her beauty :)

Owen and his entourage arrives at Manjimup's St Josephs church in his Truck!!! It even had ribbons and tin cans hung off the back. I just LOVE country weddings :) The ceremony was so beautiful and the love and joy in their faces was a pleasure to behold.

Phototime! We started in Manji and then headed off to Bridgetown and the coolness of the Blackwood River. Who would have thought that May would have such hot weather??

Off to the GORGEOUS Sunnyhurst Winery which has some the most gorgeous gardens anywhere, straight out of a Jayne Eyre novel.

And then off to the top of Bridgetown Gardens Estate and sunset! ST-HU-HU-NUHU-NING!!!! (might not be a word...but you get the idea LOL)

The reception was Fan-friggin-tastic. All the details planned by Lizzy were so beautiful and perfect. The food was fantastic, and the love in the room was almost tactile.

Ive split the slideshow into two as I just HAD to show heaps of reception pics. Owen surprised Lizzy with the most amazing speech I've ever heard, and I tell ya, he gives Beyonce a run for her money in the booty shaking stakes!! I swear I had tears running down my face!

Lizzy and Owen, Engagement Portrait!

| Thursday, February 5, 2009

A little drive to Bridgetown on Tuesday afternoon brought me to the beautiful Ford House, the Gorgeous Lizzy and her handsome Hubby-to-Be Owen!

Liz and Owen have been subjected to my photography before...Owen being a groomsman for Kellie and Shane about 2 years ago (pre Blog...was there ever such a thing?), and Lizzy is a very good friend of Liz and Kerry, who were wed in October 2007! So they kindof knew what they were in for :D They also brought along their gorgeous Dog...who was a tad scared of this massive black THING being stuck in her face, so we didnt get many of her, but she is totally gorgeous.

Ford House is a fantastically beautiful country accommodation in Bridgetown that really has some gorgeous gardens, just perfect for a few snaps.

Liz and Kerry, 20th October 2007, Bridgetown

| Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Bridgetown is such a beautiful town. It does hold wonderful memories for me as I lived here for a year and its was just such a great country town. Liz and Kerry chose Luciville Chalets for their wedding location and while the weather threatened all day, it was a beautiful wedding.

It rained up until 15 Min's before the 3.30pm garden ceremony, and stared up again 45 Min's after! How lucky were they 1 hour of no rain right when it was needed!

Its good actually having something go a bit 'wrong' during a photo shoot, such as it bucketing with rain, because it makes us lazy photogs actually work for a change! (i am kidding...) I wouldn't have thought of this 'Parisian Cafe' scene without the heavens opening up! The main house of Luciville Chalets has a huge veranda all the way around, and these amazing little tables and chairs that just begged to be used.

Liz's sister came all the way from the UK to be her bridesmaid and they had these amazing parasols which worked perfectly with the garden setting, and stopped them from being drenched!

Liz and Kerry, Pre-Wedding Portrait. 25th August 2007

On a Rainy Saturday afternoon we travelled back to Bridgetown to shoot this lovely couples Pre-Wedding Portrait. They are having their ceremony and Reception at Luciville Chalet's just outside of Bridgetown and so we met there to view the property and take some happy-snaps!

The gardens are beautiful there and i can image in late October it will be just teaming with flowers.

Liz and Kerry are a delight to work with! Roll on their Big Day......
