Tash and Steve, Engagement Portrait

| Thursday, October 30, 2008

First day of daylight savings. Now generally i don't like daylight savings. Its too hot working in the afternoon, the sun is always wrong when your shooting an afternoon wedding, couples don't get their sunset shots on their wedding days, because its usually in the middle of their Fillet of Beef with a Red Wine Reduction......

BUT

It does mean you can shoot past 7pm! which while my hubby might not like it much, its great for people who work 9-5pm.

So, I met up with Tash and Steve on the first day of Daylight Savings for their Engagement session. Steve was a little hesitant, but I'm pretty sure Ive turned him over to the dark side....muahahahaha!!!!!

I love this one...she looks so comfy :)

Going for the funky ring shot.... worrying its going to fall off the post and end up in the sand under the staircase, never to be found again....luckily my fears were proved unfounded....

Emma and Michael Engagement Portrait!

| Wednesday, October 29, 2008

These two are my new favorite couple :) They were so easy to work with, so very much in love, AND they showed me the BEST new location in Australind.... WOOHOO!

We started off at the Australind Estuary Jetty.... It was a beautiful overcast day, perfect for a portrait shoot.

This was too cute...I said "Look behind to your handsome fella" and she blows him a kiss...which he caught and kept safe for later...just too cute!!

Emma went to school at Australind High (and coincidentally my step mother was the Principle there at the time...small world down here in the sticks :)) and used to go cross country running down by the stream. She brought us there for some more pics! I am now in love with this area and thank her profusely for showing me!!

Two totally gorgeous people, Thank you for sharing the afternoon with me! I got the sweetest email from Emma the day after....

Hi Clare,

Just wanted to let you know that Michael and I had an awesome time with you on Wednesday!
I think we were both quite worried about having our photos taken, how they would turn out etc...
But we were so pleased!

Thank you so much for everything! We are really looking forward to spending our wedding day with you!

Emma

And I with you guys :)

Bianca and Trevor, 18th October, 2008

| Friday, October 24, 2008

I LOVE Margaret River. It was once my favorite place int he world about 15 years ago (before being overrun by tourists....but that's another story) and it still holds a very special place in my heart. Bianca and Trevor chose Cypress of Marget River for the ceremony and the Fabulous Vasse Felix winery for their reception! And it truly was a fabulous day.

Ceremony: Cypress of Margaret River
Reception: Vasse Felix
Brides Dress: Elle Boutique Nedlands
Jewelery: Smales Jewelers
Hair and Makeup: Naomi Murray

Bianca looked exquisite in her 20's inspired gown and hair. And she had the most AMAZING shoes all the way from Italy ...Dolce and Gabbana if you don't mind!

I love the way Trevor helped his bride up the stairs...brought a tear to my eye. Cypress of Margaret River is a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony. Its private and intimate, with a FABULOUS set of church doors for photos afterwards, and even some resident Ducks to keep you company.

The Wisteria was in bloom...Yummy!

The Church doors also have an awesome Bell...just crying out to be rung! Trevor had allot of fun here....

Absolutely Gorgeous...and WORKIN IT BABY!

Off to Vasse Felix and some photo time along the amazing Avenue of trees.

The girls all had dresses that suited themselves, but followed on the theme. Its nice to have something individual for all your bridesmaids, while still working in the unity.

Yummy cocktail time on the terrace!

And i stole them off for a few quick pics at sunset.

The reception room looked fabulous, the details all perfect.

and what an AWESOME CAKE! Its making me hungry!!

Thank you guys, it was a fabulous day....
