Liz and Kerry, 20th October 2007, Bridgetown

| Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Bridgetown is such a beautiful town. It does hold wonderful memories for me as I lived here for a year and its was just such a great country town. Liz and Kerry chose Luciville Chalets for their wedding location and while the weather threatened all day, it was a beautiful wedding.

It rained up until 15 Min's before the 3.30pm garden ceremony, and stared up again 45 Min's after! How lucky were they 1 hour of no rain right when it was needed!

Its good actually having something go a bit 'wrong' during a photo shoot, such as it bucketing with rain, because it makes us lazy photogs actually work for a change! (i am kidding...) I wouldn't have thought of this 'Parisian Cafe' scene without the heavens opening up! The main house of Luciville Chalets has a huge veranda all the way around, and these amazing little tables and chairs that just begged to be used.

Liz's sister came all the way from the UK to be her bridesmaid and they had these amazing parasols which worked perfectly with the garden setting, and stopped them from being drenched!

Meghann and Siggi, Pre Wedding Portrait, 15th October 2007

I was up in Perth for the weekend and met up with Meghann and Siggi in Fremantle. They were quite interested in some 'Architectural' type photos and Freo has such beautiful old buildings.

Meghann is such a stunner! Siggi is a very lucky man. They were both total naturals in front of the camera, even though they said they felt uncomfortable, they certainly didn't look it!

Ben and Helen, Pre Wedding Portrait, 12th October 2007

Off to Busselton for the afternoon! I met up with Ben and Helen and we decided not to go the usual Jetty photos but do something a little different! We ventured into the depths of the Ludlow Forrest and fought off hoards of Mossies! those bugs just don't know when to quit....

I had noticed the Wonnerup Schoolhouse during a wedding shoot I had done in the area few weeks back and wanted to check out its photographic capabilities! We did have to jump the fence (oooo naughty!) but we were nice and kind to the wonderful heritage listed building. Its fantastic for photos as you can see.

Evening light really is the very best for photos. Its so kind to skin tones and makes everyone look ethereal. Its a total shame they have introduced stoopid daylight savings as it means this light is at 8pm! right in the middle of CSI.

Tammie and Jamie, Pre Wedding Portrait, 2nd October 2007

Tammie and Jamie met me one sunny afternoon in the park around the corner. It was great because we are neighbours and neither of us had to go far! They bought along their totally adorable kids Tayla and Ethan.

How could you not totally love a face as cute as that?

The Wedding on The HILL!

Id so been looking forward to Helen and Davids wedding. The venue is to die for, and they are such lovely lovely people.
They had the cutest little flower girls dressed with Angel Halos....

How could you not be inspired with such beautiful spring gardens

We had great fun on the photo shoot. They were all in such high spirits and the girls even wore white Gum Boots for the photo shoot! So cute.
The boys were giving them marks out of ten for their posing ability....

Holly and Brad, 28th September 2007

I totally LOVE this couple, so easy going, so lovely and Holly is just totally beautiful, and also a fellow Photographer! The great thing about her is she just let me do whatever I wanted, Didn't stress out about what the photos would be like and just went with the flow.

They got married at the Busselton Tennis Club, and we went to the Ludlow Tuart Forrest for photos. The Lilly's were out and looked amazing...but so were the dreaded MOZZIES!! This poor couple had to stand still long enough to have a few photos taken and right afterwards were jumping up and down trying to get rid of the little buggers!

Their reception was held at The Goose, and even though there was no sunset we still captured some fantastic shots down by the beach. I love to take my clients suggestiong into thought. Im not a dictating photog, and this shot was actually suggested by Hollys Bridesmaid!

Kelly and Richard, Pre Weddin Portrait, 25th September 2007

|

I drove up to Perth one Tuesday afternoon to meet up with these two. We decided Heathcote was a nice place for photos and indeed it was! Again the rain wouldn't go away so we had to cross our fingers. It was fine for the 30 min shoot.

Its so nice to be able to put people at ease when they are a little nervous about having their photo taken. I love making people laugh as it really makes for some great relaxed photos.

Megan and Basil, 14th September 2007

On a cold and rainy September afternoon we bravely ventured to the Swan Bell Tower for their nuptials. It was blowing a gale and quite chilly and we all crossed our fingers the rain would hold off for 40 Min's or so. Unfortunately it didn't, but the rain didn't dampen the spirits of these two lovebirds. Their determination to be married at the place they got engaged was quite sweet and they weren't upset at having their ceremony under umbrellas at all!

We snuck into UWA to do some photos. Shhhhhhhh don't tell anyone!

You have to LOVE the classic nature of UWA. Its defiantly one of my favorite buildings in Perth. I would have LOVED to have studied here, but they don't do a photography course!
