Rebecca and Luke, Engagement Session

| Thursday, September 10, 2009

Its all in full swing once again :) A full on week of shooting and photostuff! Ive got 3 portrait posts today...

Rebecca and Luke were once Bunburyites, but now live in The Big Smoke, but are heading back down here for the big day in November. They met WAAAAAAAAAAY back in Primary School! I think that's most impressive.

One of my favorite ways to get peoples real smiles and laughter is to get them to whisper sweet nothings (or something dirty!) into their beloveds ear. I don't think I want to know what he is whispering to her here!!

Photobucket

Im checking out the various parks and bushland nearby and kinda like this bit!

Photobucket

And off to the beach - where there is like a MILLION stairs down the the sand. I SO need to get back into my gym-work after a snoozy winter. Those stairs are a killer.

Olivia and Hendy, Pre Wedding Engagement Session

| Monday, July 27, 2009

I'm so impressed at how Olivia and Hendy braved the wild weather last Friday. It was a little...windy...to say the least, but we bravely ventured out for some beautiful portraits of the two of them and got to know each other a little better.

Engagement Portrait sessions are a fantastic way to realise how easy it is to have your photo taken. I completely understand it being a weird feeling to have a massive camera stuck in your face, having experienced the exact same thing last year for our engagement session with Pixels, but it so helps to ease people into being the center of attention on their wedding day!

Photobucket

I try to make it as easy and stress free as possible during your portrait session and capture the true relationship between our couples, and the way I do that is to get you to focus on each other not on me (because I'm boring and nowhere near as cute as your fiance!!)

The light on Friday was amazing! Overcast days do make for the most stunning light and storm clouds are AWESOME.

We braved the beach for a quick few shots...it was COLD and WINDY and we had to make sure we didnt get run over by a motorbike rider too! the things we do for art :)

Shannon and Brett, Engagement Portrait

| Tuesday, March 24, 2009

It was perfect photo weather on Sunday, overcast but no chance of rain, nice cool breeze, but not windy or hot, just the sort of day i love.

Photobucket

We headed off to the park with their gorgeous dog Porsha, who looks kinda scary but is a total sweetheart. She was a little more interested in checking out the park than having photos though...

Photobucket

I love getting natural laughter, it makes for the best images. If people are feeling maybe a little nervous about having their photo taken a good belly laugh makes everyone feel at ease. I got Brett to whisper sweet nothings in Shannons ear..apparently he was going "whisper whisper whisper...." LOL

Porsha found the lake.....so soggy dogs have to be dried off before the trip home! Thanks guys for a lovely afternoon, will be seeing you in less than a month!!

Carly and Troy, Engagement portrait!

| Monday, February 16, 2009

I finally got to meet with Carly and Troy last Thursday. We had been emailing back and forth for MONTHS trying to find a time to get together for their pre wedding shoot, and as their wedding is THIS Friday, we got in just in time :)

Carly and Troy live in the middle of nowhere, out past Narrogin, but chose Perth for their wedding next weekend, and me for their photographer!

We popped down the park for a few shots, and was greeted by a torrential downpour! who would have thought in the middle of summer?? But it didn't last long so we braved the showers and headed out.

Zoe and Paul engagement portrait :)

| Thursday, February 12, 2009

Zoe and Paul are a referral from Trena and Brant, who were married last April, and we hadn't met before the Pre Wedding Portrait! I find that alot with people who get referred by past clients, they trust enough to know I will do an awesome job, and if they have seen me in action before they know I'm a bundle of laughs. (and I know they don't think I'm too insane haha)

Zoe and Paul hail from Mt Barker (where I actually have family ...and they have awesome chicken there too) are are getting married on Zoe's parents farm in Boyup Brook in April. They came all the way to Bunbury for their shoot! Aww I feel loved :)

We went to the beach, as its usually a tad far for photos from Mt Barker! The sky was AWESOME!!! love this sort of weather.
