Im not a big fan of Daylight Savings. To be honest...it SUCKS!!! It ruins our special Magic Hour of photography, and makes the afternoons far too hot for my liking. I mean If you could spend your summer on the beach and never have to worry about work or getting the kids to bed, or eating at a reasonable hour, or getting to sleep on time...then yes, I can see how it could be good, BUT in WA, its completely unnecessary and quite detrimental to a good and happy life! Even without daylight savings sunset would still be about 7.30pm in December, and thats plenty late for walks along the beach and playing cricket with the kids, and also means its not 40 degrees at 8pm!
Ive just been quoted on the ABC blog with my opinion on Daylight Savings...I 'think' I sound intelligent:LOL:
And if it had been daylight savings lately...I would never have gotten a photo like THIS because it would have happened an hour into the reception! From Shannon and Brett's wedding on the 18th...keep and eye out for a full post tomorrow :)
Interview for ABC on hating Daylight Savings!!

Zoe and Paul - 11th April 2009
This has to be one of my favorite weddings of all time! It was held on a massive cattle and sheep farm outside of Boyup Brook over the Easter weekend and my first thought as we drove onto the property was 'OMG this is AWESOME!!!' It was mighty helpful that Paul and Zoe are two absolutely fabulous people too!

Nicky and Bryce - The Slideshow!!!
Nicky and Bryce had a totally gorgeous wedding at the beautiful Amberley Estate in Yallingup/Margaret River. Its just stuning there!! The day started with meeting up with both Bryce and Nicky at their respective preparation sites, and then heading to Caves House where Nicky had a couple of drinks with her family to calm the nerves!! Caves House is totally amazing, very much recommended for a ceremony and/or reception site.
All New Grit and Glamour Sessions!
Ive been wanting to get into the whole "Trash The Dress" phenomena as i think the images around the place are just fabulous, and it leads itself to some really imaginative and stunning imagery....but Ive seen a lot of people shy away from the idea because they think 'Trash the Dress" = "Destroy the Dress" which is totally not the case! I wanted to show that you can achieve some amazing images without hurting your dress one iota.
Ive called the sessions "Grit and Glamour" to symbolise the joining of two extremes to create amazing imagery
My call for "Trashers" showered me with prospective models for this endeavour, and my first was the lovely Robyn.
Wanting to show off the beauty of our South West, as well as creating some funky artistic beautiful images, we chose a remote location near Yallingup for the shoot. Finding an amazing run-down shack was a photographers dream come true!
We even convinced her Husband to join in for a few shots. We wanted to show a really juxtaposition between the Bridal Beauty and the Rugged Aussie Bloke...
Id love to do more of these types of shoots, so if your feeling adventurous give us a call!
